ELECTRICITY DIAGNOSIS
The electrical diagnosis is mandatory before any sale or rental of a housing if the electrical installation is more than fifteen years old.
Why do we need an electrical diagnosis?
This obligation makes it possible to identify any major risk that could endanger future occupants. The compulsory electrical diagnosis is above all an expertise related to safety. It is carried out without dismantling or destruction, by a visual control of specific elements of the electrical installation and with the help of precision measuring devices.

Important to know
An installation is considered to be less than 15 years old ONLY if the property was built less than 15 years ago.

What are the other features of the electrical diagnosis?
The purpose of the electrical diagnosis is to describe the current electrical installation (including in the outbuildings) with respect to the safety requirements issued by the regulations in force and to identify any anomalies.
When signing the deed of sale, the electrical diagnosis must be less than 3 years old. When signing a lease, it must be less than 6 years old.
